July 20 - August Photos (Summer Road Trip!!)

Early August, we went on a road trip adventure to meet two new babies, Asher and Jace. We stopped in Chicago to visit our dear friends and meet their new baby boy. The car trip on the way there without these cuddly car seat strap-friends was rough, and thankfully Auntie Nicky had an extra set she gave us to help the trip home go more smoothly.

Here are some fun pics in Chicago with the kiddos.

We then made the adventure from Chicago to Michigan to see Louie's sister and their family in their new home and to meet our little nephew for the first time. The picture below is proud Cousin Jada sneaking in on a family picture :)

The cousins had a lot of fun together, but even after some 30-odd attempts by Uncle John, I had a hard time finding one where all three kids are looking at the camera and smiling, but you get the idea.

Zachary also tried some new foods at home the week or so before we left, some he liked a lot (sweet potatoes)....

And some, not so much (avocado pictures below, unfortunately we didn't realize it was past its prime until we saw his strong reaction!)...

We had a wonderful time spending time with our friends and family, and are so thankful that we got to go on this adventure, but it was nice to get home after being on the road too. Here's some cute pictures we took when we got home.

Even though it's the summer in these pictures, we had to have him try on this hat and outfit that Louie wore as a baby, the hat was made by one of his grandmas.

Here's smiling Zach next to the beautiful cross-stitched blanket Great-Grandma Millie made for him, it's so cute and her work is so beautiful and detailed, it's a treasured gift.

June 20 - July Pictures

This is cute Zachary in his Bumbo, at his first Twins Game with Nana, Papa, Mom and Dad. He was a pretty good sport considering that we were outside in a new place with lots of people.

Auntie Becky and Zachary enjoyed some reading time over the 4th of July time at Nana and Papa's house. So fun to see how much he loves books and time with Louie's family.

Here are Louie's Grandma and Grandpa on his Dad's side. Great-grandparents were so happy to meet Zachary and spend some time together in the afternoon.

Zachary loves this little ball that we got before he was born at one of our baby showers, he went through a phase where it was definitely his favorite toy. He liked to whip his arm around and watch the ball and also pass it back and forth between hands - pretty cute!

Here is Zachary (and Daddy) for the first time in the kiddie pool - Zach wasn't so much a fan, and thought it was too cold to play, so it didn't last long. Louie was a good sport and helped Zach at least try the pool.

Sleeping like Daddy with arms up and who can resist that adorable little half-smile in his sleep?

Zachary is so happy and loves to make noise - here is a photo of his cute little bum in a cloth diaper. He loves to play with Gina his giraffe too :)
